Congratulations to Joseph Armstrong, the People's Choice Winner of the Inaugural Bikes & Badges Vintage Motorcycle Show
The winning motorcycle was Entry #17 a 1942 Harley-Davidson WLA (World War II Era Bike) owned by Joseph Armstrong of Fort Smith, Arkansas. The one-of-a-kind trophy was designed by Mike Freeland and Gary Hayes and will remain on display throughout the year at the U.S. Marshals Museum. Thanks to everyone who made this event possible.
The Steel Horse Rally was proud to partner with the US Marshals Museum in 2024 for a new event: The Steel Horse Rally Bikes and Badges!
Bikes and Badges is an “open” antique motorcycle show that took place at the US Marshals Museum on Sat., May 4, 2024. The event is sponsored by Fort Smith Harley-Davidson who paid the admission into the US Marshals Museum located at 789 Riverfront Drive in Fort Smith, Arkansas on Saturday, May 4th, 2024.
There was also no entry fee for people to register their 25-year-old or older vintage motorcycle in the Bikes and Badges vintage motorcycle show that was held from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 4th, 2024.
Several owners of vintage motorcycles rode in the 2024 Steel Horse Rally Thunder through the Valley Motorcycle Parade near the front of the parade with a very special law enforcement motorcycle escort. The Bikes and Badges People’s Choice Award was presented at the Steel Horse Rally Main Entertainment Stage in the First National Bank Parking Lot (at 6th & Garrison Avenue) following the Steel Horse Rally Thunder through the Valley Motorcycle Parade. The revolving trophy with the winner’s name will remain on display at the US Marshals Museum until the 2025 Steel Horse Rally.
The Steel Horse Rally Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 charity established in 2014 to honor veterans, military, law enforcement and first responders, and to help local charities and the local community.
