The Steel Horse Strongman Showdown is one of the most popular events at the Steel Horse Rally! The event will take place on the stage at the Glass Pavilion at the 2025 Steel Horse Rally On Saturday, May 3rd, 2025. Come watch this incredible event that is a blast to watch as competitors battle in head-to-head competitions! The event features men and women pro and amateur athletes. The Iron Warehouse in Fort Smith along with the Steel Horse Rally are proud to present this Strongman Corporation sanctioned event. The event is free to watch.

Some of the events featured at the 2024 Steel Horse Strongman Showdown included:
- Keg Clean & Press for Reps Athletes have 60 seconds to clean & press a Keg from the floor and press it overhead. Athletes must clean and press each rep.
- Single Hand Farmer Carry/Yoke Athletes start with their right hand on the Farmer handle then carry the Farmer Handle 25ft before setting the handle down and grabbing with the left hand to comeback 25ft with Farmer Handle. Then the athlete transitions to Yoke and carry the Yoke 25ft down and back. There is a 60 second time limit for all competitors.
- Sandbag Throw Ladder (12ft women/15ft men) Athletes start 10ft back from first sandbag with their hand on the apparatus. Once given the "GO" command, athletes will begin throwing each sandbag over the bar in ascending weight. Each previous sandbag must be thrown over the bar before the next heavier bag can be attempted. Time ends once the 3rd sandbag goes over the bar and hits the floor. 45 second time limit.
- Car Deadlift Athletes will deadlift a car for as many reps as possible in 60 secs.
