The Steel Horse Rally Inc. is a non-profit charity established in 2014 to benefit local charities and the local community. Our mission is to "Honor All Who Serve" and help local charities and the community, especially local veterans and children.

The Steel Horse Rally is dedicated to "Honoring All Who Serve:" military, veterans, law enforcement and first responders. Plus the event helps local charities and the community. The Steel Horse Rally is typically held the first weekend of May and is the largest fundraising event for the charity each year. The first rally was held May 1st & 2nd, 2015 in Fort Smith, AR and raised thousands for local charities with an attendance of more than 30,000 people and a local economic impact of more than $4.2 Million. In 2023, the Steel Horse Rally had a record-breaking attendance of 210,000+ attendees and an estimated local economic impact of more than $24 Million.* 

The Steel Horse Rally is one of the fastest-growing motorcycle rallies in the country and has been recognized as one of the premiere events in the region. The Steel Horse Rally Inc. charity has donated more than $180,000 to local charities and charitable organizations. Each year, local charities and charitable organizations apply and several are selected to be recipients of the donations generated at the annual Steel Horse Rally.

The Steel Horse Rally has received several local and regional awards for being an outstanding community event and for having great live entertainment. An annual tradition in Fort Smith, AR, the Steel Horse Rally features the Thunder Through the Valley Motorcycle Parade, motorcycle racing, charitable motorcycle rides, concerts, the Cops & Cones Motorcycle Exhibition and more.

Buddy Smith Home for Veterans

The Buddy Smith House for Veterans is a two-story, 5,053-square foot home that provides supportive housing and a lifestyles program to help veterans. In addition to providing affordable housing, the Buddy Smith House for Veterans provides access to health care referrals, skills training, counseling, and helps find supportive employment for the disabled. Ten bedrooms are dedicated to military veterans with coordinated case management through the Veteran's Administration. It was named in honor of the late Ralph T. “Buddy” Smith who served in the Pacific through the Army Air Corps.

Fort Smith Boys & Girls Club

The Fort Smith Boys & Girls Club has a mission to help youth of all backgrounds develop qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders and to enhance the quality of life for local youth. They are the largest out-of-school youth development provider in the River Valley and Northwest Arkansas, serving more than 2,400 youth ages 6 to 18. The Fort Smith Boys and Girls Club has programs that support the social, emotional, and character development of children through a variety of activities like tutoring, music, gardening, recreation, therapy, sports and science and provide daily meals & snacks.

The Arc for the River Valley

The Arc for the River Valley provides advocacy, education, and recreation for members of the community with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They currently serve more than 450 people from western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma. The Arc offers weekly educations classes and activities and holds quarterly advocacy meetings. The Arc provides resources and advocacy that can help make day-to -day life easier for people with disabilities. The Arc helps connect members to local resources like legislators, Disability Rights Arkansas, legal services, transportation, and medical services.
