The Official SHR Poker Run & Fun Run give you an opportunity to  enjoy the best motorcycle roads in Western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma, while helping our charities.

Official Event of the 2018 Steel Horse Rally
Friday, May 4th, 2018

Enjoy great motorcycle roads on western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma on this scenic ride, plus cash prizes for the best and worst hands. The first 50 RIDERS will receive a Public Guardian LEMC patch. Proceeds benefit the Rally.

Registration 10:30am – 1pm at The Sound Room, 817 Garrison Ave Last Bike out 1pm

There will be a prize for the best and worst hand!  Plus, the first 50 RIDERS will receive a Public Guardians LEMC Supporter ride patch. $20 per bike, $5 for extra hand, extra cards are $5.

We have expanded into two states and so has this incredible ride! The route will go through eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas (Motorcycle helmets are not required in either state for adults over the age of 21). All bikes must be back at the Sound Room by 5:30pm. email for info

About the Public Guardians LEMC

The Public Guardians is a a non profit group of Police, Fire, EMS, Veterans, Military and Medical professionals that raise money for public service charities.They are a Public Service/Family orientated Motorcycle Club and the Fort Smith Chapter is the founding chapter. They do not claim any territory; The city and state rockers on the back of the vest represent the communities and states where they serve. Membership to Public Guardians LEMC is open to all men and woman in a Public Service related professions, active or retired Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, EMT, Corrections, Military, Veterans, Medical Professionals and select civilians who are 100% law abiding and enjoy riding.

The Route: From the Sound Room at 817, Garrison Ave take Garrison Ave./Hwy 64 west over the Arkansas River and stay on Hwy 64 to Sallisaw. Sallisaw is the first stop, then take Hwy 59 north from Sallisaw to Stillwell, the second stop.Take Hwy 59 back south about one mile to Hwy 100 follow it east into Arkansas to AR Hwy 59. Take Hwy 59 S to Van Buren for the third stop. Take Hwy 40 west back into Oklahoma to the Dora exit, take Dora Cutoff (Highway 64D) south back to Hwy 64. Take Hwy 64 east back across the river into downtown Fort Smith, final stop The Sound Room. (detailed map provided at registration)

Starting at: Hooters, 6401 Rogers Ave. Fort Smith

Ending at: Fort Smith Park, Riverfront Drive, Fort Smith

Hooters will be serving a $5 pancake Breakfast during registration

The Route: From Hooters to the Oark General Store. From there, we will ride to Fort Smith Park, the staging area for the Thunder Through the Valley Parade to downtown Fort Smith. We will make a stop at the Valero on Hwy 23 both going and returning. Stops will be limited to 15 minutes for fuel and restroom breaks. We have a lot of miles to cover! The Oark General Store in Oark, AR: The oldest store in Arkansas. It currently has a restaurant, hand-dipped ice cream & homemade pies.
